Upon arrival, the preparation begins with the insertion of an IV through which we will check your blood sugar level and administer the imaging agent. The agent will need approximately 30 to 60 minutes to distribute throughout your body. During this time you will relax in a quiet room.

During the scan, you'll lie on a comfortable table while you move through the PET/CT scanner. The scan will last about 20 minutes for the brain and 45 minutes for a whole body scan. During that time it is best to relax and remain as still as possible to gain the most accurate information.
